Missouri Auto Insurance

Missouri has major interstates running through it and because of that, it is one of the most traveled states in America.  Of course, we cannot forget the heavy congestion found in the major cities like St. Louis.  It is absolutely essential that drivers carry sufficient Missouri auto insurance to keep them protected. Even with a raise of approximately $35.00 Missourians still have one of the least expensive auto insurance rates in the nation.  On average Missouri residents paid $1593.00 in auto insurance in 2007,and this amount was more than $300.00 under the country’s average!

These amounts are the minimum requirement, however, the state of Missouri recommends that its drivers take out more than the minimum coverage to take care of the ever-raising medical and property costs.

Not all States have the same level of bodily injury and property damage protection requirements, therefore the state of Missouri mandates that each driver in their state carry Uninsured /Underinsured Motorist coverage which will protect them against the driver at fault who may not have enough insurance coverage or no insurance coverage at all. UM protection will also pay for damages to their car caused by a hit and run driver.
