Beginning operations in 1925, Fire and Lightning Insurance Company operated in Chicago, Illinois. In 1960, the company was moved to Bloomington, Illinois, where its acquisition of Mid-America Fire and Marine Company, began to spread its services into the regions of five more states. In the span of more than 80 years, Country Mutual has evolved from a small town company, to a nationally accredited insurance company that continually brings quality services into the hands of their clientele.
